Undergraduate Student
Jordin Hajek is an undergraduate student and currently in his senior year. Passionate about the environment, he pursued a degree in civil engineering to make a concrete difference in the efforts to combat climate change and advance sustainability. After taking the Introduction to Transportation Engineering course at Purdue, he discovered a strong interest in transportation. He then realized he could have a major impact on the environment by tackling the challenges associated with transportation and the effects that transportation has on our economy, our quality of life, and our planet. In 2020, Jordin served as a teaching assistant for the formative Introduction to Transportation Engineering course and currently serves as a research assistant. His main interest areas include mass transit and urban planning, and he looks forward to pursuing a graduate degree in either urban planning or transportation engineering in the fall of 2021.
When outside the classroom, Jordin enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling wherever he can, and spending time with family and friends.
